James Burke focuses on bankruptcy and restructuring and commercial litigation. James has particular experience representing parties to contested matters and avoidance actions in bankruptcy cases, including mass tort bankruptcies, and other insolvency-related proceedings.
James’s engagements range from “mega cases,” such as Ultra Petroleum, LightSquared, MF Global, Lehman Brothers, and W.R. Grace, to “middle market” and single asset real estate cases. James also has extensive experience representing parties in complex commercial disputes and private securities litigations in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels.
Before joining Ruggeri Parks Weinberg LLP, James practiced for more than 15 years in the commercial litigation and restructuring departments of two Am Law 50 law firms.
