Josh Mayer concentrates his practice in civil litigation, with particular emphasis on resolving disputes involving insurance coverage, contractual disputes, products liability, professional liability, environmental issues, and other complex commercial matters. He frequently appears before federal and state courts around the country and is involved in negotiating disputes between insurers and policyholders. 

Joshua previously practiced commercial litigation involving insurance coverage, class actions, and intellectual property disputes with other law firms in Washington, D.C. He also worked for the Office of the General Counsel at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he handled litigation and appellate matters and advised agency officials on legislation and implementation of benefits programs. Before law school, he taught high school English and Spanish, led outdoor trips, and did residential supervision for a boarding school in Colorado.
