Matthew Antonelli is a commercial litigator who focuses on insurance coverage and port and maritime law. Matt has experience representing insurers in coverage-related disputes, including those concerning general liability, pollution liability, professional liability, and business interruption coverages. Matt’s coverage practice has included representing risk retention groups, stop-loss insurers, and environmental liability insurers, including in putative class-action and multi-district litigation matters, and in trials and appeals.

Matt’s experience in the maritime area includes assisting ports, ocean carriers, marine terminal operators and other entities dealing with matters under the Shipping Act, Jones Act and related claims. He regularly counsels clients on Federal Maritime Commission regulations, negotiations and related compliance.

Matt also has experience litigating claims arising out of corporate governance, shareholder, and other business disputes, construction contracts, and intellectual property.

Prior to joining Ruggeri Parks Weinberg LLP, Matt practiced for over 12 years in the litigation department of an Am Law 200 firm.  Matt was also previously a law clerk for the Honorable William C. Mulford, II, associate judge for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County.
