Seasoned DC Insurance Attorneys Launch New Litigation Firm
January 1, 2022
WASHINGTON D.C.
A group of thirteen insurance coverage attorneys have joined forces to launch Ruggeri Parks Weinberg LLP, a new D.C. litigation firm led by managing partner, James Ruggeri. Ruggeri is widely recognized as one of the country’s leading trial and appellate insurance litigators, with over thirty years of experience representing clients in bankruptcy, general commercial and insurance coverage litigations across the country.
Named partners Edward Parks and Joshua Weinberg have practiced alongside Ruggeri for over 20 years, together building a Chambers USA-ranked insurer practice group. “I have wanted to do this since leaving Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells) in 2010. I couldn’t be happier to be starting a new firm with my former Hogan partners Ed Parks and Josh Weinberg," Ruggeri said. Ruggeri, Parks, and Weinberg bring with them four partners, five associates and one counsel.
This new venture allows Ruggeri to prioritize his group of long-standing clients with the support of some of D.C.’s boldest litigators: "The opening of Ruggeri Parks Weinberg gives us an unencumbered platform to continue to serve our clients for years to come. This is the right group at the right time to build a forward-looking firm specifically designed to service the needs of our clients for whom we are most grateful.”
Ruggeri Parks Weinberg LLP opens its doors on January 1, 2022. The firm will continue to deliver comprehensive counseling and litigation services to its insurer clients while also expanding its already-successful bankruptcy and commercial litigation practices.
